Rothbury
June 25 – 28, 2026
Electric Forest turns the woods around Double JJ Resort into a four-day dreamscape with huge art installations, immersive experiences, and late-night sets.
Music focus: electronic, jam bands, bass music, funk, and genre-blending live acts.
Camp under the trees and wander the glowing forest for one of Michigan’s most immersive festival weekends. details
Downtown Detroit
May 23 – 25, 2026
Held at Hart Plaza on Memorial Day Weekend, Movement is one of Michigan’s defining electronic festivals and a cornerstone of Detroit’s music identity.
Music focus: techno, house, and underground electronic, with a strong connection to Detroit’s role in shaping the genre.
Expect riverfront stages, world-class DJs, and a citywide afterparty scene. details
Muskegon
September 17 – 20, 2026
Hosted at Heritage Landing, the Michigan Irish Music Festival fills the lakeshore with Celtic bands, cultural programming, and Irish food and drink.
Music focus: Irish and Celtic traditional, folk, and rock, with everything from fiddles and pipes to modern Celtic fusion.
It is equal parts music festival and heritage celebration. details
Harbor Springs
July 10 – 12, 2026
Set on a northern Michigan festival farm, Blissfest celebrates folk, world, and roots music with multiple stages, workshops, and camping.
Music focus: folk, Americana, world, and roots, including singer-songwriters, traditional ensembles, and global sounds.
It is a laid-back, community-driven weekend with plenty of room to discover new artists. details
Grand Rapids
July 17 – 18, 2026
Upheaval brings two loud, high-energy days of heavy music to Belknap Park in Grand Rapids.
Music focus: hard rock, metal, and alternative heavy acts, with nationally touring bands leading the lineup.
It is one of Michigan’s biggest destination weekends for rock fans. details
