Kids-Friendly ArtPrize Picks – What’s Good for Kids & Families for 2026
This year, ArtPrize takes over downtown Grand Rapids September 18 through October 3, turning parks, sidewalks, hotel lobbies, and pretty much every storefront into a free art gallery for all ages – kids included!
But, there are venues and art that might be more than your kids are ready for. To that end, we’ve added alerts to our main art map. And, to help you further, we’ve filtered the 1000+ ArtPrize entries and marked them as kid-friendly so you can target those spaces and places on your visit.

Tap a map pin to see what’s at a spot that’s tagged kid-friendly.
Note: Events that are kid-friendly will also show up on the map. Pay attention to dates/times for any item marked ‘event’, like Doodle Street.
