Round 2 (32 Festivals): Fri Apr 18 – Tues Apr 22
Round 3 (Sweet 16): Tues Apr 22 – Fri Apr 25
Round 4 (Elite 8): Fri Apr 25 – Tues Apr 29
Round 5 (Final 4): Tues Apr 29 – Fri May 2
Round 6 (Championship): Fri May 2 – Tues May 6

How were the festivals chosen?
Festivals were selected based on three key criteria:

They take place in Michigan between Memorial Day and September
They are scheduled to happen in 2025
The 64 festivals with the most Facebook followers made the cut

How does voting work?
Voting follows a bracket-style format, where festivals go head-to-head in match-ups. The festival with the most votes in each round moves on to the next. Voting continues until only one remains as Michigan’s Favorite Summer Festival.

How can I vote?
Voting happens online, round by round. Each round is open for a set amount of time—be sure to check the schedule so you don’t miss your chance to support your favorite festival.

Can I vote more than once?
Votes are limited to one per person per round, so make it count.

How can festivals get involved?
Festivals can encourage their fans to vote by sharing the bracket, posting reminders, and engaging with their audience on social media.

What does the winner get?
The winning festival earns bragging rights, the title of Michigan’s Favorite Summer Festival, and a free ad package on Hey Michigan.

What is the People’s Choice Award?
In addition to the main bracket, there’s a People’s Choice Award, where voters can nominate a festival they feel deserves special recognition. The festival with the most nominations (excluding the bracket winner) will receive a $1000 Festival Advertising Package for summer 2025!
