Shuler Dairy Farms
is a centennial dairy farm south of St. Joseph (just a short drive from Lake Michigan) where you can tour a working barn, see robotic milking in action, and hang out with baby calves before grabbing some ice cream.
The farm’s been in the same family since the 1800s.
Visiting the Farm
This is a 140+-year-old working dairy farm that opens its doors to visitors Tue–Sun from noon to 5 PM.
For $5/person (kids 3 and under free), you get a close-up tour of the operation where you can
- watch the robotic milking machines in action
- pet calves & visit the bull
- hear the Shuler family tell the story of the farm firsthand
Call ahead if you want to schedule a larger group or field trip visit.
They Take the Food Truck to the Fair
They actually shut down the farm for about a week every August to bring their soft serve operation to the Berrien County Youth Fair in Berrien Springs.
Cold drinks, funnel cakes and soft serve ice cream are on the menu.
2026 fair dates are August 17–22.
