Frankfort North Breakwater Lighthouse

is an old Lake Michigan lighthouse with a walkable pier that is a popular place for watching sunsets and photography when the wind cooperates.

It’s easy to walk to the lighthouse from downtown.

About the Frankfort Light

It was built in 1912.
The lighthouse is not open for tours but you can walk on the breakwater when the weather allows – it can be very slippery so be careful.
It is accessible from the beach at the end of main street.
