About the Big Sable Point Lighthouse

Standing at 112 feet tall, the iconic black and white striped tower is one of the tallest in Michigan.

The lighthouse survived near destruction caused by Lake Michigan erosion in the early to mid 1900’s. The Big Sable Point Lighthouse Keepers Association has since preserved and restored this historic landmark.
