Michigan Restaurant Week Roundup 2026: Your Guide to Deals & Dates in the Mitten

Michigan Restaurant Weeks 2026

Restaurant Weeks in Michigan for 2026

You know that restaurant you keep saying you’re going to try? The one you drive past all the time but never quite make it in? Restaurant weeks are your excuse to finally do it.

Across Michigan, some 25 or so cities host these dining events throughout the year with prix fixe menus, special dishes, and deals that make it easier to explore. Some are big productions with digital passes and prizes. Others are just a handful of local spots offering a good deal for a week.

what is it?

Restaurant week is when local restaurants offer set menus or deals for a limited time, usually a week or two. It’s a chance to try places you’ve been curious about at a lower price point, and for restaurants to bring in new customers during slower seasons. Most run in winter or early spring for exactly that reason.

We’ve rounded up every Michigan restaurant week we could find for 2026, organized by season.

Some dates are confirmed; others we’ve estimated based on 2025. We’ll keep updating this as organizers announce official dates.

Winter Restaurant Weeks in Michigan

January and February

Turns out the best time to get people into restaurants is when nobody wants to leave the house. January and February pack in more restaurant weeks than any other stretch of the year, which makes sense, I guess.

At least they’re giving us a good reason to put on real pants when the temp is hovering at that zero mark!

Ann Arbor Restaurant Week is the big one to start the year, with 40+ restaurants offering prix fixe lunch from $15 and dinner from $28. This one’s been around long enough that people plan for it.

New for 2026: Zingerman’s Roadhouse is doing a brunch pop-up at Greyline while their main spot is under construction, and TAQ just reopened in a new location in time for the event.

If you’ve been meaning to check out Ann Arbor’s food scene but felt overwhelmed by the options, this is your week.

Lansing Olive Burger Week

Lansing Olive Burger Week is the most Michigan thing on this list.

If you’re not familiar, the olive burger is a 517-area point of pride (ground beef patty with a olive and mayo sauce, just trust us), and during this week restaurants across the region put their own spin on it.

It’s weird, it’s regional, and it’s exactly the kind of thing that makes our state awesome.

Traverse City & Kalamazoo Restaurant Weeks

KalamazooFebruary 20-28, 2026

Traverse City Restaurant Week overlaps with Kalamazoo Restaurant week, , which means you’re in range of good grub if your up north or down state this week.

Traverse City draws 50+ restaurants with menus at $25, $35, and $45 price points. They do a digital passport thing where check-ins enter you into gift card drawings, which turns it into a bit of a game.

And this year, Kalamazoo has thrown in a cocktail competition where bartenders compete for your vote. Downtown is walkable enough that you can hit a few spots in one night and judge for yourself. (Kalamazoo also did a summer restaurant week in 2025 – we’ll see if they do that again for 2026!)

Fenton/Linden Restaurant Week has quietly grown into a solid event with approximately 20 restaurants participating across Fenton, Linden, and Fenton Township participating.

It’s a community-driven thing backed by both DDAs and the chamber. Expect local specials and, new this year, a bookmark passport to track your visits.

Spring Restaurant Weeks in Michigan

March – May

Spring restaurant weeks in Michigan tend to happen in the kind of towns you vacation at in the summertime, or happen to live in, if you’re a downstater.

March clusters a few Metro Detroit events together: Canton (confirmed Mar 1-7),  Grosse Pointe, and Wayne all run within a few weeks of each other.

One worth looking for in the spring is Lansing’s 517 Restaurant Week, typically held close to 517 day in mid-May. In the past, 68+ restaurants offered a $7 dish and $5 drink. That’s it. No three-course commitment, no “which fork do I use” anxiety, just walk in, try something, leave if you want. We can’t wait to hear their dates for this year and what they have on offer.

Downtown Marquette (Mar 8-14) is the only restaurant week in the Upper Peninsula, and they take it seriously.

Last year saw sixteen restaurants participate, from Cajun Creole at Lagniappe to local whitefish at Portside Inn to a retro gaming pub called Four Swords. It’s a good excuse to head on up and over, and maybe even extend that ski trip.

Petoskey Restaurant Weeks

fallearly november

Up North, you’ll find Petoskey, a town that likes restaurant week enough to do it twice: once in spring, once in fall. Expect three-course meals at fixed prices, with some spots throwing in two-for-one deals.

It’s a great way for the town to ramp up for tourist season and wind down again once the leaves have fallen.

Downtown Petoskey
Downtown Petoskey hosts two Michigan Restaurant Weeks each year.

Summer Restaurant Weeks in Michigan

June – August

As you might expect, summer is quiet for restaurant weeks. Lake town restaurants have all of the business they could want, and everywhere else is in a laid-back, keeping busy with drinks on the patio mode.

Last year, only two events ran during these months, all in Metro Detroit suburbs. But this year Royal Oak is moving their event from June up to late February. That leaves Lake Orion to do their an “American Summer” thing in late June, and have the stage all to themselves.

City/Area 2026 Dates Status What to Know
Lake Orion American Summer Late June (TBA) Probable June 23-29 in 2025

Fall Restaurant Weeks in Michigan

September – November

Fall is when things get interesting.

Several themed restaurant weeks pop up on the Michigan calendar, like Poutine Week in Grand Rapids. Frankfort’s Beer Week happens in the fall, too.

Southwest Detroit traditionally runs their event during Hispanic Heritage Month in late September or early October. Twenty-plus restaurants in the neighborhood feature Latin American cuisine with special heritage dishes only available during the week. It’s more neighborhood celebration than formal restaurant week, which is part of what makes it good.

Frankfort Beer Week  was in its 12th year for 2025, so you can bet 2026 will be worth the drive. Ten-plus restaurants in Frankfort and Elberta create beer-infused dishes (ummm I’ll show up just for the stout beer cheese with Bavarian pretzels!) Stormcloud Brewing anchors the week with brewery tours and specials.

Petoskey runs a fall edition (Nov 7-16 in 2025) for anyone who missed spring, and Jackson County hosts theirs around the same time. Both are solid if you’re in the area or looking for an excuse to take a fall color drive.

City/Area 2026 Dates Status What to Know
Frankfort Beer Week Late Sept/Early Oct (TBA) Probable 12th year, 10+ restaurants, beer-infused dishes
Michigan Street Poutine Week (GR) Mid-Sept to early Oct (TBA) Probable Overlaps with ArtPrize, passport for free t-shirt, Gravy Train trolley
Southwest Detroit Late Sept/Early Oct (TBA) Probable Hispanic Heritage Month, 20+ Latin restaurants

Grand Rapids Nov 6-14, 2026 Confirmed The big one. 70+ restaurants, digital pass, People’s Choice
Petoskey (Fall) Early Nov (TBA) Probable Second chance if you missed spring

Michigan Street Poutine Week

when(mid-Sept through early Oct, TBA)
restaurants10-15

Michigan Street Poutine Week is not technically a restaurant week, but it’s too good to leave off this list.

Expect 10-15 restaurants along Grand Rapids’ Michigan Street corridor compete to make the best poutine. They get creative – 2025 saw Korean BBQ poutine, beef bourguignon poutine, a “Triple Pickle Poutine” with fried pickles and pickle ranch.

You grab a passport, collect stamps from at least four spots, vote for your favorite, and get a free t-shirt. The final weekend they run a trolley called the Gravy Train.

It’s an awesome, weird local food event that makes you proud to live here. And it happens to overlap with ArtPrize!

Grand Rapids Restaurant Week (Nov 6-14) is the state’s largest, and it’s not particularly close.

This event has been going on for over 15 years and it shows, drawing 70+ restaurants with 80 different menus.

There’s a reason people plan trips around this one. They’ve built in nice extras over the years: a digital pass for voting in a People’s Choice Award and check-ins that earn prizes (including limited-edition aprons that people actually want).

It’s well-run, there’s a ton of variety, and the $25/$35/$45 price tiers mean you can go casual or splurge depending on the night.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Make reservations. Especially for dinner, especially at popular spots, especially in Ann Arbor, Traverse City, and Grand Rapids. These things fill up.

Lunch is the sweet spot. Same kitchen, same food, lower prices, easier to get a table. If you’re trying a new place, lunch is a low-risk way to do it.

Look for the digital passes. Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and Ann Arbor all have them. Check-ins can get you prizes, gift card entries, and bragging rights.

And, as we mentioned, quite a few of the restaurant week events in Michigan have yet to confirm their 2026 participation. We will update the article as we learn more. (If you have a restaurant week to confirm, please let us know. Thanks!)
