Visitors can expect limited building capacity with a map showing the sensory experiences for each exhibit.
Sensory-friendly hours are select Sundays from 9:30 – 11:30 AM and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:30 PM throughout the year.

The Michigan History Museum is a very quiet, sensory-sensitive environment.
In effort to help anyone who would benefit, they offer a visit social story for what to expect during a visit as well as an exhibit social story.
Note: Sundays are free to visit the museum, which may increase the number of visitors.

Abrams Planetarium offers free sensory-friendly shows on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 11:30 – 1 PM.
Shows run with the lights up, the sound down and the theater doors open so you can move about as needed.
There is also a quiet place in the lobby.
All shows include a live star talk about what is up in the sky that night with a short break between the main show and the star talk.
