Wealthy Theatre Backstory

Wealthy Theatre opened in 1911 as a vaudeville house, later becoming a neighborhood movie spot and even serving as a WWI warehouse. After decades of decline and sitting vacant, the community rallied to restore it, reopening in 1998 as a happening arts spot, and helped kickstart the revival of the Wealthy Street district
