Why People Visit
People visit for the fields of flowers and for the history.
What started in 1947 as Vern Veldheer’s backyard hobby has grown into a third-generation family business and a pillar of Holland’s tulip scene. Visitors can wander the rows, shop for bulbs to plant at home, or browse the gift shop and De Klomp, the only Delftware factory in the U.S., where you can watch traditional Dutch wooden shoes being carved and Delftware hand-painted.
