Located in Richland, about 15 minutes southeast of Kalamazoo, Gull Meadow Farms is much more than a spot to grab some apples or pick a pumpkin (although they do offer both).
Sunflower fields and mixed flowers, u-pick apples and berries, a cute market, fun seasonal events like hayrides and the pumpkin patch, and a cozy little café with homemade treats.
This farm continues to grow each year, now offering over 30 fall activities, summer events and Christmas events with Santa.
Summer at Gull Meadow Farms
In the summer, Gull Meadow Farms feels like a giant outdoor playground with plenty to keep families busy. There are over 30 activities around the farm, including big jumping pillows, a corn crib filled with dried corn, yard games, carnival-style tosses, and steer roping.
Kids run straight to the apple chute slide and grain train rides, while the petting farm with goats, alpacas, and miniature horses is always a hit.
On weekends you’ll see pig races at the Porkchopville Raceway and wagon rides that roll through the woods.
The farm also has oversized swings and chairs for fun photo spots, and events like Sunflower Days add even more reasons to stop by. They even have gorgeous flower fields.
When it’s time to eat, the market serves pizza and seasonal snacks, and food trucks often pull in for extra variety.

The market turns into a hub for fresh donuts, cider, and seasonal snacks, while food trucks roll in on weekends.
Themed weekends keep things interesting, from Grandparents Weekend with Touch-a-Tractor, to Western Weekend with trick roping and line dancing, to stunt dog shows in September.
