Crooked Vine Vineyard & Winery
A small but mighty winery that brings big wine country vibes to Michigan’s north.
The Experience at Crooked Vine
THE TASTING ROOM:
Rustic charm meets wine expertise. The owners themselves often pour your tastings, sharing stories behind each bottle’s unique label. Their Marquette red wine has earned serious bragging rights in competitions (ask about it and watch their eyes light up.)
THE PATIO:
Their covered patio overlooks vineyards, hills, and lakes, a perfect backdrop for sipping something you can’t find anywhere else.
They occasionally host vineyard yoga and live music here, too.
SMALL PLATES:
Cheese and crackers and other little bites are available to pair with your wine flight.
The Story Behind It
Established in 2013, Crooked Vine started with a simple vision: make wines that highlight what’s special about northern Michigan.
In 2021, Ted and Stephanie took the reins, bringing fresh energy while honoring the winery’s roots. Ted’s the outdoor guy, managing the vines and property, while Stephanie often runs the tasting room, connecting visitors to the “bottle to table” philosophy they believe in.
Their focus on cold-hardy grape varieties has paid off, producing award-winning wines from the five different varieties they grow on site.
