Each August, Caseville, Michigan, puts on a 10-day Jimmy Buffett-inspired celebration that takes the small lakeside town and turns it into a bustling beach party. If you’re craving a visit to a tropical paradise without the airfare, here you go.

What to Expect

Parade of Tropical Fools:
Outrageous floats, music, and beads and trinkets raining down on delighted spectators are what you expect at the crown jewel of the festival, the Parade of Tropical Fools. After the parade, stick around for the awards ceremony and special concert at the amphitheater.

Burger Bonanza:
Local restaurants and food trucks test themselves with creative cheeseburger concoctions that would make even Jimmy Buffett do a double-take. They serve up both beef and vegetarian options.
