Excitement is in the air as Christmas events, holiday activities, and tree lightings in Lansing are starting to pop up in our community and the chance to tell tell Santa what’s on our list is almost palpable!
One of the best and most iconic holiday traditions that we’ll soon get to enjoy is cutting down your own Christmas tree.
Watching the kids take great pride in picking out the perfect one, smelling the amazing pine (or fir or balsam or spruce) in the air, and simply spending time as a family in the outdoors are memories straight out of a movie.
Sip on some hot chocolate and read on to find out where to cut your own Christmas tree in the Greater Lansing area (or grab one that’s pre-cut!).
Below are 14 Greater Lansing area locations where we know you’ll love making memories with your family during the most wonderful time of the year.

10717 Babcock Rd, Bath, MI 48848
Enjoy the beautiful country setting at the family-owned, third generation Anna Lovisa Tree Farm in Bath.
Your trees will be cleaned, drilled, and wrapped.
Stop by Decorating Day on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 11 AM – 4 PM for farm sourced wreathes and garlands that will leave your home smelling just like Christmas!
Tree types include Balsam Fir, Concolor Fir, Fraser Fir, Korean Fir, and White Pine.

No matter the height, Carpenter Tree Farm trees are all $70 per tree this season! This includes tree shaking, drilling, and baling.
Bonus? Enjoy free hay rides pulled by beautiful draft horses on Opening Day November 28, 2025, and weekends.

They cut your tree down for you, drill it, and bale it. They also offer tree tagging if you’re not quite ready to take your tree home yet.
Family-owned and operated, offering hot coffee and cider to keep you warm and cozy.
Types of trees include Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Norway Spruce, and White Spruce. They also pre-cut trees to save you time + wreaths.

A family-owned choose-and-cut or fresh pre-cut tree farm nestled on Huntoon Lake with hundreds of trees to choose from starting at $45.
They offer stunning wreaths and swags too!

Warm up at the outdoor fire pit and enjoy roasting marshmallows. Complimentary hot coffee or hot cocoa available in the warming barn.
U-cut, pre-cut, or potted trees + wreaths, garlands, tree stands, and bough bundles.

Family-owned choose-and-cut Christmas trees. Free baling, drilling, and shaking services.
Take a photo inside the decorated barn and get it posted to their photo board, then come back next year to find it!
Pop into the barn and shop for fresh wreaths, ornaments, apparel, hats, mittens, mugs, and more.
Types of trees include Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, Concolor Fir, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Black Hills Spruce, and Colorado Blue Spruce.

Get the complete magical Christmas experience at Peacock Road Family Farm! Famous for their Santa Experience, hot cocoa, wreaths, a “sugar shack,” and shopping.
Train and wagon rides, Christmas Shoppe for gifts, wreath shop, kissing balls, grave blankets, and more.
Please note that Peacock Road will only be offering pre-cut Christmas trees again this year to give their fields some rest.
Tree types include Concolor Fir, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Blue Spruce, and Black Hill Spruce.

This sweet family farm offers u-pick, pre-cut, and potted trees in a rustic, friendly, and comfortable setting + a FREE bough, tree shaking, and tree wrapping with tree purchase.
They provide the saw and cart for your tree cutting.
Star Tree Farm also offers pre-cut trees for $53, potted trees for $55, hand-made wreaths, maple syrup, bonfire wood, coffee and tea, hot chocolate, and photo opportunities.
Tree types include Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, Blue Spruce, Scotch Pine, and White Pine.

Hop aboard the wagon out and pick out your perfect tree.
Snacks at the concessions area, firewood for sale, maple syrup from their own trees, and a cozy bonfire make this a magical family fun spot.
Tree varieties include Fraser Fir, Blue Spruce, White Pine, Concolor Fir, and Scotch Pine.
Visit with Santa in the Christmas Shop on Friday, Nov. 28 – Sunday, Nov. 30, 10 – 4 PM and Saturday, Dec. 6 – Sunday, Dec. 7, 10 – 4 PM.
