98th Season for Grand Rapids Civic Theater is Announced
Hey Grand Rapids, welcome to the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre’s season reveal!
This will be the 98th year the iconic playhouse brings the state to life. The 2024-25 lineup kicks off with the iconic “The Rocky Horror Show,” and unfolds to include the enchanting “A Year With Frog and Toad” for the younger audiences, followed by “Cats.”
Later, don’t miss the powerful “The Color Purple” and the heartwarming “Waitress.”
Special Stage Door Drinks & Libations events add a splash of social sparkle, offering a unique night out.

The Rocky Horror Show
Dates: September 13 – October 6, 2024
Sweethearts Brad and Janet discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. A night of elaborate dances and rock songs ensues.

A Year With Frog and Toad
Dates: October 15 – 19, 2024
Frog and Toad’s heartwarming journey through the seasons explores the value of friendship and the celebration of differences.
Cats

The Jellicle Cats tell their stories in one magical night to decide who will ascend to a new Jellicle life.

A mix of a Hitchcock masterpiece and Monty Python humor, this fast-paced whodunit is a riot of laughs and intrigue.
Disney’s Camp Rock The Musical

Mitchie and friends defend Camp Rock against the flashy Camp Star in a summer of music, friendship, and rivalry.
Ten For All Festival

A showcase of original 10-minute plays by West Michigan playwrights, offering a unique, community-driven theatrical experience.
The Color Purple
Dates: April 18 – May 4, 2025
Celie’s story from despair to triumph, set against a musical backdrop of jazz, gospel, and blues, in this epic saga.
Waitress
Dates: June 6 – 29, 2025
Jenna, a pie-making genius, seeks a new life through a baking contest, finding courage and love along the way.
