Dark, wintry nights have met their match in one of Michigan’s most splendid walk-through Christmas light displays: Glenlore Trails’ Aurora in Oakland County, MI.
The dazzling wooded walk, beginning November 21 and running through December 28, 2025, takes visitors on an enchanting journey that will make you forget you’re in Southeast Michigan.

Aurora’s lights beckon everyone. Families looking for a fun activity, couples in search of a festive getaway, or friends bent on making memories – will all be happy they came.
This wooded path welcomes strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs, ensuring everyone can experience the holiday magic. Just watch for a few natural bumps and sticks along the trail.
The one-mile outdoor trail winds through a glowing forest trimmed with over half a million lights – and filled with the sounds of holiday cheer.
Interactive, hands-on elements invite you to play and explore.
Kids can even make a stop at Santa’s mailbox (it’s at ticket check-in and promises special delivery to the North Pole.)

Purchase a magic wand to interact with the illuminated trails! Point the wand at the “G” symbols along the trail to reveal an enchanting individual experience.
Tasty Concessions
Glenlore Trails has a food truck so you can fill up on tacos, burritos, waffle fries, or Mexican Coke.
Two on-site concession booths offer light snacks, beverages, and Glenlore merchandise.
Special Event Nights
Friday, Nov 21 – OPENING NIGHT: – Be among the first to experience the magical illuminated trails! Start your evening with live music by Ben Sharkey and tasty the taco D&Ws Street Eatery and The Little Donut Factory before your enchanting forest journey.
Sunday, Nov 23 – Face Painting & Balloon Twisting: – Enjoy a festive evening with extra fun for kids, including balloon twisting and face painting from 5:30-7:15 PM. Then, set out on the magical illuminated trail for a night of holiday enchantment for the whole family!
Friday, Dec 5 – ADULT NIGHT 21+: Enjoy live music, drinks, and food before setting off on a magical stroll through the illuminated trails. Perfect for a romantic date night under the stars or a fun night out with friends—don’t miss this special 21+ event!
Dec 7 & 18 – Velvet Carolers: -Enjoy festive sounds of the Velvet Carolers before beginning your magical journey.
Dec 12, 14, 20, 21 – SANTA VISITS: Bring the family for a magical visit with Santa before heading out on the trails! Tickets are per person and include the trail walk. Limited availability, so be sure to reserve your spot for this special holiday experience!
