Fresh in Lansing: Meat, Eggs, Dairy & Produce – Direct from the Farmer
Finding local sources can be a little tricky, so we started this list of farms and outlets carrying local (for the most part) produce, meat, and dairy items! Read on!
When we think brewery we don’t usually think kids. However, some breweries in Lansing make it really easy to get out for the night with kids when it’s not a date night or moms night out.
Art supplies, games, and yummy food make for a great combo as far as kid approval goes. Bonus – our TOP 10 picks have a great atmosphere and brews to match.
Here is our team’s TOP 10 favorite family friendly breweries you’ll love to hang out at with the entire family.

If a good drink is on the menu for you while the kids are also having a good time, here’s the best family friendly breweries around Lansing:
Ozone Brewhouse

Ozone Brewhouse’ patio is a great family-friendly place during the summer. Indoor is 21+. The patio is lovely and a pizza food truck is available at coinciding hours.

Located in the heart of downtown Lansing, this extremely family-friendly brewery uses local food and vendors for their delicious menu.
On Tap: 53 beers + 5 ciders
Kid Points: Live music, special events (some even geared towards kids), lots of seating.
HopCat
300 Grove St, East Lansing, MI 48823
HopCat, known for its huge list of beers and ciders should also be known for the fact that it’s welcoming to all – even the littles. Families enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the 100 beers and ciders on tap! #somanychoices
On Tap: 100 including beers and ciders

BAD Brewing Company

BrickHaven
200 E Jefferson St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837
This unique location was once home to the old City Hall and St. Micheals Church in Grand Ledge. That in itself is fun, but their special sodas make it extra fun for the kids.
Kid Points: small batch sodas, live music, special events.
Looking Glass Brewing Company
115 N Bridge St, Dewitt, MI 48820
Looking glass is a great option for a couple of reasons. They turned an old church into a brewery which is rad in my book, coming from Oregon where McMinimens rules (great places to go if you’re ever in the area).
Looking Glass takes things to a really fun family-friendly level. They have family game nights every Sunday.
On Tap: 20 taps including 12-16 beers + cider and seasonal wines.
Kid Points: Family game nights, games and coloring options while eating, great food, unique atmosphere.
Lansing Brewing Company
518 E Shiawassee St, Lansing, MI 48912
If you haven’t already spent time hanging out at Lansing Brewing Company – you’ll want to plan a date. It’s like a fun oasis.
On Tap: 12 beers + cider and wine available
Kid Points: Huge patio, oversized games like Jenga, corn hole, and more. Multiple places to order + walk-up ordering, live music, multiple rooms for whichever atmosphere or vibe you’re looking for on your visit.

Dark Horse Brewing Co.
511 S Kalamazoo Ave, Marshall, MI 49068
Dark Horse Brewery in Marshall is amazing because of their outdoor play area for kids! You’ll love the vibe here. It’s “where the cool kids hang.”
On Tap: 11 beers 1 Cider
Kid Points: live music, outdoor play area, yummy food, events and more!
Honorary “Spirits” Pick: Uncle John’s Cider Mill
8614 N US 127, St. Johns, MI 48879
Uncle John’s is a kid land haven, but it’s also home to a delicious wine and hard cider bar!
