This whole thing started with the Tri-City Chili Peppers, a summer baseball team out in Virginia.

One night, they were handing out glow sticks between innings and thought, wait, what if the entire game glowed?

So they went for it.

Rigged the place up with UV lights, swapped in gear that lights up under black light, and turned baseball into a legit neon party.

Now, at Cosmic Games, the bats, balls, bases, even the uniforms glow. And the players behind the bat are not the usual Chili Peppers. Cosmic games are played by a crew made of ex-Banana Ball players and viral baseball creators.

And of course, they face-off against their opponents, The Glow Emojis, in these epic games.

Cosmic Baseball definitely shares some DNA with Banana Ball. You’ve got chaos. You’ve got personality. You’ve got moments where it feels like a baseball game turned into a concert.

But it’s not the same playbook. Banana Ball’s all about fast pace and wild rules. It’s like baseball on a timer.

Cosmic is  more about the glow. Think neon vibes, black lights, and just enough rules to keep it a game.

The Cosmic Takeover Tour is hitting several cities in 2025.

If you want to go, you need to enter a lottery on their website. If you’re picked, they’ll text and email you a ticket link.

• Worcester, MA:  August 15 & 16

• Indianapolis, IN: September 5 & 6

That last one is the one I’m going for. Fingers crossed!

It’s crazy at these games.

Pre-game block party kicks it all off, where the players do dance battles. There’s a tunnel with black lights where you can see your shoes light up. People dress up in glow gear.

It starts out just like a regular baseball game, but when the dark settles in, the whole stadium glows.

The first half is regular lighting with some quirky rules. The second half flips to full UV. They swap in glowing bases and even a new home plate.

Rules? Yeah, Kinda

The game has rules, but they’re more like suggestions with a wink.

One inning, fans pull an Uno card that changes the entire inning. (That’s how you get backwards base running.)

Walks turn into “fungo toss” moments.

Cake-eating contests decide the home team.

One game even had a police officer come in to pitch mid-inning.

Is it real baseball? Sort of. Is it fun to watch? Absolutely.

It’s blowing up because it’s fun. It’s not trying to be the next MLB, or even Banana Ball.

It’s baseball that’s made for TikTok, group chats, and people who just want a good time.

It’s for people who want fireworks and dance-offs with their foul balls. (It’s for me! Pick me, lottery!)

I’ve already put my name in the hat, so if you add yours, I don’t think it will hurt my chances.

There’s no word yet on a 2026 tour, so this might be your year.
